This is Sarxa; I just thought the name was cool... it comes from the Greek word meaning 'flesh,' I believe. This was done in red ink, white ink, and sharpie (sharpie...). I wanted to do this in the same style I did in that "Lace Imogen" piece.

Edit 10/30/05:
Brightened up the eyes. Added a thicker border and the title "Sarxa." Made it into a print.

This is so fricking good. I love this image, I am considering buying a print. I did some research to find out what the heck these *sharpie* things are, cool, just a pen brand, I thought so and I want some! In my city, the leading art stores do not stock sharpies, we have Artline an Australian brand. Hmm your Imogen piece is excelent too. Such skill, are you at art school or have you been in the past?

Beautiful. Sort of Art Nouveau I think. I love the qualities. What sort of pen do you use? Ballpoint? Roller ball? Quill? It's quite fascinating...

Thanks for your comment! Well, I used ballpoint, roller ball, and Sharpie on this one. Those were the only kinds I had lying around and worked well, I thought.
